Megilloth “Anguish Inhabitants” Demo EP

In the autumn of 2005 in Nalchik former bandmates from an amateur christian band The Occidental Pri formed a new seriously heavy band. Inspired by a well-known Mortification song, they took «Megilloth» as the name of the band. In the process of creative work a lot of trivial matters occured, and that made the band take breaks. In the summer of 2007 Megilloth was born again. As the result of an active work, the songs were rearranged completely. In the autumn the Christian gothic metal-styled Demo EP “Anguish Inhabitants” was recorded at the «Obraz» studio.
Skillful playing, lyrical and singing bridges and gorgeous guitar solos won’t leave untouched even those not familiar with the genre. The ability to let go things not coming along with ideas and dreams, contradicting one’s own opinion and the belief in the creator, deserves some respect. The eternal life of the soul, the righteousness of the path chosen and the transience of being - those are the topics which will worry minds for a long time. The sense of things he has done for us gives us a chance to evaluate our every step. Maybe we will get all the answers only when we are on the other side, but will they still matter?

Осенью 2005 года в городе Нальчике бывшие коллеги по любительскому христианскому музыкальному коллективу The Occidental Pri основали группу с серьёзным и достаточно тяжелым звуком. Вдохновившись известной песней группы Mortification, было принято решение взять название “Megilloth” в качестве наименования коллектива. В ходе творческой работы возникало множество бытовых вопросов, что заставляло периодически брать таймауты. Летом 2007 года Megilloth возродился вновь. Велась активная работа, песни были полностью переаранжированы. Осенью на студии звукозаписи “Obraz” было записано Demo EP “Anguish Inhabitants” в стиле Christian gothic metal.
Техничная игра, лиричные и певучие переходы и, конечно, великолепные сольные партии гитары не оставят равнодушными даже тех, кто мало знаком с жанром. Умение отпустить то, что идет вразрез с идеями и мечтами, что противоречит собственному мнению и вере в Творца, заслуживает уважения. Вечная жизнь души, правильность выбранного пути и быстротечность бытия – темы, которые будут беспокоить умы человечества еще очень долго. Осознание того, что Он сделал для нас, дает возможность понять цену каждого нашего шага. Ответы на все вопросы, возможно, мы получим, оказавший по ту сторону, но будут ли они актуальны?!
